How to root HTC Desire 816

Procedure to Root Desire 816

Step 1: Download UPDATE-SuperSU-v2.01.zip file and copy in to the root of your phone.(Do not extract.)
Step 2: First power off your phone and wait 5 to 10 second.
Step 3: Now power on your phone in fastboot/Hboot mode by pressing Volume down key+ Power key at the same time.
Step 4:Now you will see fastboot/HBoot screen on your mobile.

Step 5: In H/boot mode use volume up and down key to navigate up and down and power key for select.
Step 6: Now highlight the recovery option and press power key.

Step 7: After select recovery option, you will see CWM recovery menu on your screen.

Step 8: Now in cwm recovery menu select install .zip from SD-card option.

Step 9: On next screen select choose .zip from SD-card option.

Step 10: Now browse and select the downloaded UPDATE-SuperSU-v2.01.zip file.

Step 11: After selecting zip file press the power key.

Step 12: Now select yes for conformation.

Step 13: Now the flashing process will start, After done go back and then select re-boot system now and re-boot your phone.

Step 14: Done ...when your phone will power on then you will see superuser icon in your app menu.
