In the year of 2015, some Samsung device have received the Android 5.0.2 Lollipop update. but some devices are not received this update. So here is a unofficial Android 5.0.2 Cyanogen Mod 12 custom rom is available for Samsung galaxy s3 GT-I9300 provided by XDA members.This is a custom rom not official and this rom is made by XDA members not made by Samsung. This is an unstable version Beta-1 CM12 build so in this rom might be some bugs expected and are yet to be fixed. If you have a Samsung galaxy S3 mobile and your are interested to update your Galaxy S3 to latest Lollipop firmware then follow the below instruction and update your Samsung Galaxy S3 GT-I9300 to Lollipop.
Important Do not ignore it:
- This ROM is only working on Samsung Galaxy S3 GT-I9300 (Exynos). Don’t try this rom on any other Model, Otherwise as a result it might get bricked. You can verify the model number of your Galaxy S3 by navigating to Settings > About phone > Model number.
- Make sure that you have already installed cwm recovery on your Galaxy S3.
- Make sure your phone battery is must charged at list 70%.
- Make a full backup of your phone Like Sms Contacts Apps etc.

Procedure to Install Lollipop on S3
Step 1: First download the lollipop rom
Step 2: After downloading plug your phone in to computer using usb cable.
Step 3: Now copy the CM-12-20150122-UNOFFICIAL-i930.zip file and transfer it to the root of your phone, do not paste it in any folder.
Step 4: After copy power off your phone.
Step 5: Put your phone into recovery mode by pressing volume-up + home + power key.
Step 6: Now you are in recovery mode, in cwm recovery mode go down using volume key.
Step 7: Now select wipe/data factory reset, on next screen select Yes.
Step 8: Now select cache partition, on next screen select Yes
Step 9: Now select advance option and clean wipe dalvik cache.
Step 10: Now go back to the main recovery menu and select install Zip from SD-card on next screen tap on “choose zip from SD-card” and find the Android 5.0.2 ROM .zip file that you've copied to the root of your SD card.
Step 11: Now it will take some time to flash.
Step 12: When the flashing process will complete go back and select reboot system now option.
Step 13: Now your phone will take some time on first boot.
Step 14: Done now your s3 is successfully updated to lollipop 5.0.2
